SURGICAL STEEL 316L: 316L steel is the most common material body piercing jewellery is made of. It is often used as a first wear piece of jewellery and is only available in a silver colour.

TITANIUM: The body tolerates titanium better as it is free of nickel (90% titanium, 6% aluminium, 4% vanadium). Titanium is recommended for people suffering from an allergy to nickel. It is a very light material and as well allows a better healing. Titanium is available in various colours, and for every part of the body.

NIOBIUM : Niobium is a silvery metal heavier than titanium. It is a more expensive material for body jewellery because more rarely found on the market.

BLACK LINE : Black Line is basically titanium covered in black.

GOLD : Gold is only available in white and yellow. Noble material for De Luxe body jewellery.

SILVER : Silver is not recommended for body jewellery (bars). This material is not hypo-allergenic and becomes oxidized quickly. However, silver can be used for piercing accessories (eg: belly-button, ears).

PTFE : PTFE is called Teflon. Flexible plastic material, well tolerated by our body, it is often used by pregnant women, to hide a piece of jewellery (keeping it discreet at work), and by people suffering from allergies.

BIOPLAST : Plastic material causing no allergy. A rod made of Bioplast can be cut to the desired length; a ball of titanium can be screwed to it. It is perfectly suitable for piercings around the mouth, for people with allergies, but as well to keep your piece of jewellery discreet.

ACRYLIC : Acrylic is a plastic material, tolerated by the body. Available in various colours and can react to ultraviolet rays under “black lights” (for example in clubs).

PYREX : It is a shockproof, sturdy glass. It is well tolerated by the body. We find Pyrex predominantly in ear piercings (flesh tunnel, retractor), in order to widen the lobes.

HORN, BONE, WOOD, AMBER : Materials originating from ethnic tribes. They are used in the shape of tunnels, plugs, retractors, this way allowing a widening of the lobes.
